Plus500 Confirmed as Clearing Partner for Landmark CME/FanDuel Platform

Plus500 Clearing Partner announcement with CME and FanDuel event contracts platform

Plus500 Confirmed as Clearing Partner for Landmark CME/FanDuel Platform

Online trading giant Plus500 Ltd has secured a significant institutional role after being named a clearing partner for the new event-based contracts platform.

The platform is a joint venture between the CME Group and leading sports betting firm FanDuel, part of Flutter Entertainment plc. The appointment underscores Plus500’s growing presence in regulated financial market infrastructure.

The core agreement tasks Plus500 with providing essential brokerage-execution and clearing services for the joint venture, branded as FanDuel Prediction Markets.

FanDuel Prediction Markets operates as a non-clearing Futures Commission Merchant (FCM). The clearing arrangement positions Plus500 as the critical intermediary for client trade settlement.

For the brokerage industry, this move signals a new strategic deployment of retail trading infrastructure into the institutional derivatives space. It confirms the feasibility of leveraging proprietary technology for secure and scalable access to regulated event contracts.

Plus500 is now able to utilize its robust, institutional-grade systems to support the high-profile venture, ensuring efficient access for the FCM’s client base.

Plus500 CEO David Zruia called the appointment a “historic milestone” for the company. He noted that the decision reflects the firm’s advanced capabilities as an accredited, trusted market infrastructure provider built on proprietary technology and regulatory expertise.

Brokers and technology providers should closely track the performance and growth of the FanDuel Prediction Markets platform. This high-profile clearing mandate may signal a strategic shift by Plus500 toward greater reliance on institutional and B2B revenue streams.
